Occasions may arise where a registered transaction needs to be edited or removed from a policy. Direct historical edits of registered transactions are not allowed; instead, SLIP will perform a Change Request.
Every Change Request links to a single “original” transaction. So, a Change Request can be thought of as more of an “undo” than a “delete”.
Some reasons you may need to submit a Change Request:
The type of update to your registered transaction can result in a Backout, Backout & Replace, or a Change Request.
When you need to request a change, please follow the instructions below:
Find all Change Requests in the Policy tab in the Transaction Change Request grid. You can filter the transaction grid by selecting or deselecting the "Show not submitting", "Show submitted", and "Show closed" checkboxes at the bottom of the Transaction Change Request grid panel.
For a Change Request that results in a Backout, the original transaction displays as a Backout in the Transactions grid, the Backout transaction displays as a new transaction in the Transactions grid with a Status of “Submitted”, and numbered superscripts display next to the related Backout transactions.
Backout transactions cannot be modified in SLIP after being created.
For a Change Request that results in a Backout and Replace, the request will create a backout transaction that will reverse the current transaction and create a replacement transaction to be submitted with the correct values.
After completing and saving the edits for the replacement transaction, click Submit to send the new transaction details to the SLA.
